Today’s Saturday Board Member Spotlight is Paige Pearson Meyer!
Paige was raised on a Suffolk sheep ranch North of Sioux Falls, SD. Growing up her dad had 50 ewes and mom had a giant garden. She spent her time with her farm cat Annie.
Today Paige works for Midco as their Director of Corporate Communications.
Paige’s connection to the Stockyards goes back; her dad gave the markets on radio and TV. Later on he became President of the Sioux Falls Stockyards.
Paige feels strongly about our mission, to connect agriculture to our lives daily.
“Educating more kids about where their food comes from. Thinking about clean energy and gas in new ways. Providing a place for people to ask questions and have thoughtful conversations with producers,” she explained.
In the future she is most excited for the Woster Plaza to open, “I truly believe it will be a destination for locals and tourists alike. It will allow us to take many more steps forward in connecting people to agriculture.”
