Meet our 2026 Summer Intern!

For the past few summers, Stockyards Ag Experience has employed an intern to assist with tours, social media, and event planning. Meet this summer’s intern, Ellie Studer!

Elizabeth (Ellie) Studer is this summer’s Education and Marketing Intern! Ellie grew up in Madison, SD, and will be completing her final semester of undergraduate at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she will graduate with degrees in History and Gender & Women’s Studies. She will then continue her education in Mankato by pursuing a Master’s in History.

As a break from academics, Ellie plays trumpet in the MNSU Wind Ensemble during the school year, where she has made countless memories and new friendships. In her free time, Ellie loves reading, crafting, and cheesy fantasy TV shows. She loves spending time with her family, and the great big open skies of South Dakota, where she can always be found taking a picture of the sunset.

Though she did not grow up on or near a farm, Ellie is passionate about helping others learn about their history and the development of our ways of life here in SD.

“I’ve seen the impact that agriculture has on our society as a whole, as well as the area of SD that I am from. I hope to make the museum proud in supporting their mission of advocacy and education. I absolutely cannot wait to dive into this experience and learn as much as I can!”
